Christophe Delcourt

A true advocate of craft tradition, French autodidactic designer Christophe Delcourt spent several years of his career working closely with French craftsmen and cabinet makers in the pursuit to hone his craft before setting up his namesake studio in 1996. Nature – evidently mirrored in shapes, textures and colours – is Delcourt’s main source of inspiration for his work. Delcourt’s instinctive and soulful use of materials and colours is manifested in his understated elegant designs which display warmth, emotion and sartorial-like attention to detail. The Abi collection for Van Rossum exhibits the relaxed yet refined expression that Delcourt is known for.
